EXTREMEAIR ® Hand Dryer
With its patent pending technology, the EXTREMEAIR is 3X
faster - it dries hands completely in 10-15 seconds. This
is accomplished with a powerful blast of warm air that quickly
breaks up the layer of surface water on a user’s hands for quick
removal and evaporation.

While all American hand dryers save trees and reduce landfill
waste - The EXTREMEAIR uses up to 80% less energy
than conventional hand dryers.

Overview:

The new GXT high performance automatic hand dryers
are 2-3 times faster than a conventional hand dryer.
The stylish, compact design saves 95% versus paper towels
and provides great performance while consuming 80% less
electricity. The GXT'S patent-pending design will provide
many years of trouble-free service.

Compare the ExtremeAir GXT dryer to the competition and you will find that the compact design of the GXT allows it to easily fit between studs on 16 inch centers for recess mounting. Try that with the competition and you will probably find that you have some extensive work to do to the wall for recess mounting due to the larger bulky size.

A recess kit is available for the GXT-M to reduce the depth
of the dryer to less than 4 inches.

Construction Features:

Cover – One-piece, heavy-duty 18 gauge steel cover
is lightweight and virtually indestructible.

Finish – Durable, electrostatically-applied, chip- resistant
white epoxy finish (M), or chrome plated satin finish (C).

Motor – Powerful series commutated through-flow
discharge vacuum motor/blower with automatic resetting
thermal protector. 5/8 HP, 20,000 RPM.

Automatic Sensor – 100% solid state design eliminates
relay contact failures. Microprocessor controlled infrared
sensor turns dryer on when hands are under the air outlet.
Dryer turns off when hands are removed. Override turns
off in 80 seconds if hands are not removed.

Heating Element – Constructed of NiChrome resistance
wire with automatic resetting thermostat. Heating element
operates in the black range for maximum life. Heating
element is enclosed within blower housing and therefore
inaccessible to vandals.

Tamper Resistant – Two tamper resistant screws secure
cover to steel base. Blower air intake is shielded for
additional safety.

GENERAL INFORMATION
DRYER PLACEMENT :
Dryers should be placed at least 2 feet apart and at least 12” from
washbasin. Do not install dryer over washbasin. Automatic dryers should be at least 18” above any projection which may interfere with the operation of the automatic sensor.

DRYER INSTALLATION:
Hand dryers require a dedicated circuit (max. 20 amp) and must be
properly grounded. One side of dryer should be mounted to stud. All
surface mount dryers are provided with conduit entrances for both
between wall and surface wiring.

QUANTITY ESTIMATE, HAND DRYER:
Average traffic washroom..............1 dryer per 2 washbasins
Heavy traffic washroom..................1 dryer per washbasin
54” Bradley sink..............................4 dryers per sink

The GXT8 is finished in white ABS, durable enough to be used in prison systems. With hundreds of the ABS cover hand dryers in service within the prison system, American Dryer reports that they have sold zero replacement covers. As shown above, the GXTxM has a metal cover with white enamel and the GXTxC has a metal cover with satin chrome finish.
